My Camry stalls in cold weather.

Hello all, im new to this toyota forum and have a Q?

I noticed that my Camry stalls if I let go of the gas. Every now and then both my Camry and the Celica has starting problems, it will start, but will die if i dont keep my foot on the gas. I have replaced the Idle control valve once on the Celica, but the problem has came back a year later. Any suggestions?

The idle air control valve is the number one culprit for what you are describing. Most valves will last around 60K miles or so but it is dependent on numerous factors like; how many short trips are made, etc. Also, the problem usually shows up when the humidty is high. Once the valve starts sticking you might as well have it replaced because even though it may not stick each time it will get worse with time.

Also can it be cleaned, or repaired? I just want options.
