Cold Air Intake PLEASE HELP

I recently installed a ractive intake on my 96 camry and when i start up my car i can hear it sucking in air is this normal???

Also, another reason why you hear this sucking sound is because, with the stock air intake, you have what is called a resonator, which is basically like this giant plastic box thingy which suppresses the intake noise, thus making it quite.

Now that you have done away with your stock intake, the resonator is no longer hooked up to it, so that's why your air intake is louder and making that audible sucking sound, which yes, is completely normal.

Hey man if it helps i am taking my ractive and making it in to a cold air i will post how to do it with aluminim piping in about 2 days i should have it posted and stuff so you its cost like 50 bux more or something (with an AEM bypass vaulve) to do all of it and you need a mider saw when i get home from school i will show you the plans i made last night at like 12 because thats all i could think about! so in about 2 hours i can post my pic! its a shitty drawing thats why i am not a Artist and thats why i mod a camry....LoL ohhh yeah forgot it takes the sucking noise away and gives it a meaner louder noise at full thorttle!!!!!!! i am so Exsited i wanna do it today but i work....
