09 w/ 100 Miles & NO BRAKES?

I have been driving my 09 Camry SE V6 since last Wednesday. As of today the brake pedal has started sinking to the floor...

For example, I stop at a light and the pedal feels fine and then it sinks to the floor. If I do not apply more pressure the car will start to creep forward.

Fluid levels look fine. Is this normal or do I have a problem... : (

Was it doing like this when you first got the car? Have it checked at the dealership.

No. It started today, but I only drove the car short distances prior. When it went to the floor tonight and I held it I heard a strange noise.

Could it be air in the brake lines from the factory? I would hate to think my 09 Camry has a bad brake component. I just finished a 8 year run with domestic vehicles (Chevy, Ford, Pontiac) and this is my first Toyota. I thought I was leaving problems like this behind... : (

Guess it will be going to the dealer in the morning.

The master cylindar is gone. It is being replaced tommorow.

They cannot find the part for the American built Camry so I am getting master cylinder for a Japanese built one. They said it will fit just the same and I will probably be better off.

This is making me sick none the less.......

FYI, The master cyl. in a Japan Camry will not fit in a American Camry.

Still as of today, no car. Parts for 2009 models are hard to come by....

That sucks. Hope they don't screw up with the repair.

Damn where do you live that they can't get a replacement part?

Sorry to hear, I'm sure it definitely isn't helping your idea about Toyota's reliability but it seems like you just happened to get the short stick

Normally when the brake is pressed, the car stops, of course yours has problem.

LOL, true. I did not realize how bad it was until after I made the post. A friend of mine said the car has a low pedal anyway, but did not realize it was "falling" out from under my foot.

I live in the Northeast and the part was not in the Toyota parts system. The 09 has only been in production a short period and they are behind posting part numbers.

The part came from Georgetown, KY. Regardless, I got the car back Wednesday and all is well.
