are trd springs really made by Eibach, or are you just say that because they have the same drop?

im not going to try and figure out why they sell them at those prices. i just know that i bought springs for the solara, and they worked on my camry. so no arguments from me just buy whats cheapest. BUT i think there are solara springs that drop 1.6 vs the 1.2 by eibach. Don't quote me on that though.

97-01 camry, es300, avalon and solara (all v6), have the same motor and same chassis... hence any suspension or engine upgrades for any of these cars are interchangeable

Before putting them on, I suggest you get some clear PVC hose from a home improvement store and put it on the spring. TRD come with some hose already on on part of the spring. Find a similar hose and put it on the rest of the spring. This will make your ride noticeably more quiet.

I have had the TRD springs on my '00 Camry for 3 years now and have had klunking and knocking noises all along (strut mounts changed etc. - no much luck). Anyways, someone posted recently that they wrapped their spring with some tape and that cured their problems with noises.

I did not want to take off the springs just to try it, because every time you do this you need a new alignment. So I just got the hose, cut it open at its length and put it on with some electircal tape. The result is a noticeable improvement in the quietness of the ride. Before that, my driver side was much more noisy than my passenger side in terms of suspension noises. Now it is the opposite. This stuff really works. It did not remove my clunking and knocking noises completely, but they are much more tollerable now.

I would suggest that if you do this, first poke some small holes every few cantimeters or so along the hose so that moisture from condensation would escape easier and avoid rust, but I have no long-term observations...

Lastly, do your best to get Tokico struts at the same time - the ride will be much more controlled than with the stock struts. Plus they will last longer with the TRD springs.

For the rest - do a search, or go to solaraguy.com, where they have diagrams and more info

that's pretty interesting about the hose thing.. I didn't know that TRD springs don't come with those things, Eibachs ones have those clear tube things at the base of the springs, where it makes contact with the struts.

TRD has them too at the base of the spring. I'm suggesting to add hose all along the spring, not just the base, which is already covered...

But how about for a 99 Camry i4? I believe that my camry has a different body/chassis. Will 99 eibach solara springs fit on my 99 camry i4? Anyone? Because right now these springs are sitting in my garage, and I'm afraid I made a big mistake.
