Help installing CD player

my girlfriend has a 1994 Camry SE.. id hate to mess her car up, so i figured that i would ask. her tape player messed up and its really her parents car, her sisters boyfriend owns a rather large junkyard so i got a 4runner cd player and tape player, they are dazy chained together. How do I get the dash around the old tape player off to get the new one in? Im sure I can get the rest.
Any websites with pictures will help, or if you can describe it, that will help as well.

Thanks.

ok i can get it out now, wasnt that bad. the thing is the new one that i have is a 96 4runner OEM and has a different plug in the back, i dont know why. i bought a wire harness and its the same 2 plug connector so i put the harness on the car plugs and tried to splice into the 4runner plug but with no color chart or labels couldnt get it to work and the colors dont all match.lol does anyone have a color chart to get it to work from a OEM 95 Camry 2 plug to a 96 4runner 1 lpug.. also on teh back of the wire harness it says it will work for a 1984 and newer 4 runner and a 1987 camry and the wire harness has 2 plugs so maybe what is up with teh 4 runner OEM tape player?

Is there a special plug for amped OEM cassette decks? Ive looked and looked all over the net and cannot find anything about this problem.. i realize not many people are tryin to put a OEM cassette player in there car but come on..lol www.installdr.com doesnt have anything all it shows is 1987 and newer harnesses but this cassette has a 96 4runner written on it, and theres no way its older than a 1987.. PLEASE HELP

any help is appreciated. thanks for the earlier posters.

My advice to you would be to go to AutoZone or the like and look up both the 4runner and the Camry stereos in their respective Haynes manuals and cross match the wires. You'll prolly have to cut and splice rather than use a harness.
There should be easy to read wiring diagrams in the back of the manuals as well as a harness diagram with the installation/removal instructions.
Good Luck.

btw I PM'ed you about something else...

Actually, the harness will help me with the car oem wires, since it gives me the end that is labeled.. all that I need now is the wire diagram for the 1996 4Runner OEM harness.. then I can match the 2 up and be done with it.

If anyone has a repair manual for the 1996 4runner please let me know asap

Thanks in advance.

toyota camry install is pretty easy no wiring kit is needed. the wires match almost exactly to the new recievers. the recievers do come with the maual. use it as a reference. to take the radio out all you have do is pull out trimiings around the reciever. use a flat head screw driver. The trimmings are snap on. so do just pop them off wit no remorse. the behind the trimmings are screws. unscrew the screws and unscrew the mounts for the old reciever. there all you do is follow the refernce manual and wire it up. Good luck!!

if my stock reciever in my 93 cam, has its lights dead... is that a fuse or the actual reciever?? At night i cant see the station.. damn green glow is gone. Its also gone behind my temp control and fan speed guages.. maybe its wiring behind the dash.

Anyone know how to fix this??
