Whats up guys! Nice forum you got here. Anyway, I've just inherited the family wagon now they've decided on a new rav4 - its a 1994 gen 3 Camry wagon! 4cyl automatic! 168,000 miles. Ahaha, story is, I've got around $500 laying around, and I'm looking to give this car some personality as I'm fixing it up - you know, give it a soul =D

My question for you is, what would you do? Help me make this thing come alive!

tint the windows, clear corners, k&n air filter, muffler? i dunno, you can do a lot of stuff if you'd like, but if i were you i'd drive this beater for a couple of years, save some money and then buy something with some go

you can do some interior mods for pretty cheap like tweeding and some custom fiberglass stuff

for $500 you prob wont be able to do ne thing to the motor worth doing so id stay away from that

i hate cars wiht big wings and crap like that, think there fast but are slow as hell so dont go for the show

you could go for handling but with it being a wagon and the budget u wont get much

so ya stick with the interior u can make it pretty pimp for not much $$ if u do it yourself and take your time, thats prob the most important thing, maybe get some replacement speakers and a deck too

since I'm into j-spec stuff, i'd get on to altavista's babelfish (or some other japanese translation site and I'd checkout and try to meet people from Japan's Toyota Scepter Club (Scepter is the JDM Gen 3 Tudor and Wagon Camry) and see if try replicating what they do to their rides.

Happenin board =D, fast replies. I'm liking the interior idea - I think Jim_2thow's right about not being able to hook up the motor too much with the $ I'm looking to spend - tint, dash, stereo - maybe some ebay speakers/sub sounds nice for a start. Pics being posted tomorrow. Night all.
