wider tires

I drive a 93 camry v6 5 speed, it is running on 16 inch american racing rims right now with 205/55/16 tires on them. I am interested in putting 225/50/16 or 55/16 on to the car, do you guys think that i will have a rubbing problem? i am going to lower the car next year also so would i have a big problem then? any help is greatly appreciated. thankz

I know 225 will barely fit in the rear with very little to no rubbing. I have 235's in my rear and they rubbed, so i rolled my rear fenders. 225's most likely won't fit and will rub in the front. I have 215's in the front and I think if I slam it until it tucks it might not rub.

Hey, how did you roll your fenders and with your 1.8" drop, do your tires tuck?

Tires won't rub if they don't tuck. I bought Sprint springs for a reason. I wanted the lowest drop I could get and they slammed my rear. The tires in the back tuck. Some people don't like that look but I love it. The front's on the other hand don't drop as well as I expected but I'm going to make it even some how. But check out my site for a pict of my drop. I brightened up the picture so you can see the tires.

Thanks for the reply guys.

RiCebuRneR206:
Yeah, your front doesn't drop as well but your rear looks really nice (does saying that make me sound gay?)

What kind of drop do the sprint springs give front and back?
