I'm finally ready to upgrade my suspension. I've already settled on getting some tokico blues to replace my stock struts but what I need help with is the lowering springs.
I've got a heavy speaker box in my trunk, so the rear of my car is already lower than the front and as you can see, you can fit a baby's head between the front fender gap (trust me, i've tried!).
What I want to know is can any of you recommend a spring combination that will enable me to get a somewhat even drop in the front and back? Ride quality is important to me so I don't want any crappy springs and would like to stay away from coilovers. I've already got 18" rims with 235/40/18 tires so the ride is already a bit rougher. Please help!
Oh yeah, and will my car rub if I lower it with that size tire? Thanks!

5Sfte:
I've thought about cutting one of the coils but I thought that was dangerous and caused problems in the future. I'm not sure how that goes.
An even 1.2 drop all around would still keep me with my problem of more gap in the front than in the rear.
Lastly, BLUEMEANIE:
How many miles are on your whitelines and how was the ride quality? I'm looking for something comparable to the eibachs.
Really and truly, I was thinking that getting eibach solara springs for the front (1.6" drop) and eibach camry springs for the back (1.2" drop) might be ideal but I'm not sure. Has anybody ever tried this? Does it sound feasible?

The Whitelines are for a gen 3 but have been on a gen 4 with no problems...
Anyway I PM'ed you the details.

Ok, I bet I'm going to sound really stupid asking this but what the heck are bags? I've seen the term used before and I have been a good little noob and did a search, but am still confused on exactly what it is. Can someone point me to somewhere I can learn about it and tell me exactly why I would want "bags?"
Gosh, I feel so stupid, lol.

I don't think 4 tenths of an inch will solve your front/rear height problem.

Air ride suspension sounds like it would drop my car way down, right along with my bank account. That sounds pricey! How much would a system like that cost and what level of expertise is needed to install that?
