shortened struts

Hi,
does anyone know something about using the lowering springs with shortened stock struts?

it is not recommended to use the stock dampers with lowering springs but is done routinely anyway.

its still okay....the ride's not as bouncy as ppl make it out to be.....I rode with eibachs and stock struts for about 3/4 of a year before I got tokicos.....

only thing is that its not good when you hit potholes, cuz it feels like you're floating, and you may as well save the labor by doing everything at once

you're still stuck with oem quality struts...if not worse cause i'm not sure how great shortening them would be

and for the prices they had on there, might as well go aftermarket

and also, riding on stock shox with aftermarket springs is not recommended because they have a greater tendency to blow, not because they're just a little bouncier

and while some are lucky to never have their shox blow out on aftermarekt springs, some get their's blown out within a few hours or days...i guess you could push your luck, but what's the point

of course they'll say that, they're trying to sell their product. I dont know what your goals are for your suspension set up, but IMHO this is not an advisable route to go performance wise. they made no mention of jonce/rebound response or dnd. why? I think you know the answer.
and for $200-300+ for each strut! youre better off buying coilovers from a reputable manufacturer. or you could buy these and combo it with some cut springs, it'll be cool because I said so.
