2003 Camry A/C Trouble

My 2003 Camry has an automatic thermostat for the A/C When I turn it on it will cool for a few seconds then quit cooling and the A/C light will start blinking. I have carried it in twice for repair but while checking it out the A/C started working again and they could not get it to quit working again. They said they could not identify the the problem while it was working. The first time it stayed working for 7 months and the second time it worked for 2 weeks. Does anyone have any experience with this?

The A/C relay can cause that to occur intermittently, but so can many other things. If you want to shotgun a part without proper diagnosis, I'd replace the A/C relay.
