I am trying to decide if I should tint my Camry. My state legal limit is 35% on side / rear windows. Some people have told me they are not happy with 35% tint or if I do legal I should not tint at all. I can get it tinted darker but risk not getting an inspection sticker or pulled over.
What do you think?

I've got 35% all around and love it. The shop I went to will not install tint darker than the legal limit and I would not want it darker than that anyway. My state's annual safety inspection means they take a meter to your window and they won't pass you if it's more than a few percent darker than the legal limit. Not worth the risk IMO.
You'll love having tint. The added privacy for you and your passengers, coupled with the decrease in heat and wear on your interior - you'll regret not getting it tinted sooner!

My state is the same way do twenty percent up front and 5 in the back. that way the front is still lighter and most cops dont even notice...thats what i did.

i just did 5% all around even in 98* texas days its tolerable when i get in the car (i have a medical waiver...screw the tint laws!) anything will be better then none, i had 35 before i had it redone, and it was still better then none. id deffinately check your local laws and see if you can do the back darker.
btw alot of cars come with factory tint of some sort (my hhr for example) and youre car windows are already uv blocking...dont believe me...hop in with a pair of those glasses that darken in the sun, the thing that makes them darken is the uv... i had to get clip ons cause the lenses wouldnt darken...
Saw a Magnetic Gray gen 6 Camry V6 LE last night at the gas station. The tint was really dark and if my untrained eye can see that it is darker than the legal limit, any cop can too. Not a risk I'd want to take.

Go for it. Here in Fla it's a must to beat the sun. It can be easily removed if you don't like it. I had the original tint on my 88 RX-7 removed and it was on there for over 15 years. I then had it retinted.
