Disabling VSC?
Thought I'd inquire to the Camry folks here about the VSC system. I'm a 4Runner owner, and they've had this system on for the 2001+ models. I've searched for VSC related topics, and there are only a few.
First, I'm just wanting to confirm if the system used across the various models works the same. Specifically, does the VSC dethrottle the engine if there is slippage when you're attempting to accelerate? If so, has anyone heard of a way to disable this system altogether?
Myself and a number of other 4Runner owners are desperate to find a way to kill this sytem permanently as it is more of a safety hazard than a safety feature, and no one has found a way, though a number of different items have been attempted.
Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.
