Talking 1200mile Rippmod Supercharged Camry update

Ok guys this is my 1200mile update.. since the first day we started the install of the kit we found a few differences with the Gen4 5SFE and Gen3 5SFE Camrys. Today i installed my new MAP sensor from a 92 Turbo MR2 (thanks 5Sfte for the info) and the car is now running great, even better than it did before because the ECU is getting more accurate readings from a boost sensitive MAP Sensor. Changing this has solve the cars hesitation around 4500 - 5000rpm range due to the old MAP Sensor reading backpressure as the car started to get boost and sending the readings to the ECU then having the ECU think the car was at idle causing the major lack of fuel at boost rpms. In my past post i mentioned that the problem might be because of my S-AFC wiring having the chance of being wrong but it was correct. The car response is fast now and the car picks up really nice from around 3500rpms on up and only picks up even faster at higher rpms. You can feel the pull in the steering wheel as the car accelorates and you get the feel of getting sucked back in the seat as the car hits boost.. it feels alot like the car was turboed but comes on smoother. I also just changed my sparkplugs from NGK Platinums to NGK Coppercores, Ross was saying its better to run colder plugs for boost to prevent pre detonation.

So.. its been 1200miles since the car was boosted and it is still running great and in a sense only better ! i havent gotten in any races yet but my main reason for boosting my car was just to have more power and make it better well rounded (weight - power - looks). So far i am very happy with the kit and it seems to be very reliable bolt on power as long as you have taken care of your engine, i just hit 91000 miles on my car and its still going strong. The next thing i have to work on is my downpipe\exhaust.. i think its leaking at the headers or at the cat.. the seals are getting old and with more air flow its starting to rattle. I am either going to get a straight pipe or just get a new high flow cat put on.. the sound gets really annoying and since the cat i got now is gutted out the exhaust sound tends to resonate there . Im going to run the car a little more and make sure things are ok before hitting the dyno again but i will be sure to keep you guys updated when i fine tune it and get some numbers

Whats up Huy, i dont have any videos of my car didnt ever try making one and i dont got a digital camera or video camera anymore ehehe. Maybe ill make one oneday.. just gotta get a new camera and find time and a friend to do it ehehe. You can supercharge your camry ! save up ! or be crazy and just do it lol.. either way it was well worth the money if you ask me. I would just make sure you have taken care of your engine especially if you have high miles.. do a compression test and a diagonistic check that will help give you an idea on how your engine is doing.. check for leaks and stuffs too hope to see more camrys out there boosted so i can ask others for help when needed lol.
