Wheel offset question 14 inch to 16 inch rim

Hopefully I get this right being a newbee? I own a 1999 Camry LE with stock 14 inch rims. The tire size is 195\70\14 with an offset of 40mm (I believe) I recently purchased some rims that came off a 2004 Solara that are in perfect condition. The size of those rims are 16X6.5 with an offset 50MM. Is it possible to mount the Solara rims on my 99 Camry? The bolt pattern is the same. If so what do I have to do to get them to fit right and what size tires should I purchase to keep the speedo accurate? Thank you ahead of time PS: I would prefer not to roll the fenders. Also, I understand the spacers used for disk brakes are different from rear brakes on this car.

you shouldnt have to worry about rolling the fenders but ...

50mm is a high offset for a gen4. youll need 5mm spacers in the front and 10mm spacers in the back, i imagine.

try posting in the model-specific gen3/4 forums because no one really visits this section that frequently lol ... i will say though that you would have found enough information to answer your question in threads already posted by doing a search. this is a great resource for wheel fitment :

Lets Talk offsets !!! my friends

Have the same spec rims on my car (16x6.5 50mm) from an '04 Camry.

Fronts fit fin, rears I needed 3mm spacers and all is good. The Gen 3 and 4 have a pretty much identicle rear suspension, so it "should" be the same for you if you get the same tire size.

205/55/16 is the tire size I;m running.
