If you are comparing Bosch Platinum and Bosch Platinum +4, the +4 is definetly better, but a lot more expensive. I don't know if it is really worth the extra cost.

I heard A LOT of crap about Bosch Platinum plugs... ummm and from many different sources, its your choice.

I stick with Denso/NGK for Toyotas.

I highly recommend Denso Iridiums. I've had them in my car since June and have logged 12,000 miles to date. I would either stick with Denso or NGK for regular platinums.

Yes Denso Iridiums are definetly good, without a doubt and Toyota themselves use Denso Platinum (OEM plugs on my 1993 Camry)

I had the +4's in my car for one month and didn't feel anything.. then it seemed like I actually lost power, I took them out and on all but one of the plugs.. the gaps on one or two of the prongs was closer to the center then the other two (ie the gap was off)... I didn't have my reciept so they would not take them back  they are crap as far as I am concerned

It's mostly a reliability issue with spark plugs, and always getting a consistent and strong spark. It gives slight gains on forced induction engines, and I remember reading that SCC had a turbo'd skyline which got like 15-20 hp at the wheels from Iridiums. pretty funny acutally.

latez.

There seems to be a claim floating around of 1-2HP gain. But I don't know how you'd "feel" 1-2HP other than in your imagination.

I did find a difference in smooth shifting after changing the plugs. But for all I know, I could have replaced my old plugs with new copper plugs and felt the same difference. That's how bad my old plugs were.
