Disc Stuck in 6-Disc JBL Changer...

I have a 2008 SE V6 with the JBL six disc changer option; a disc got jamed in the changer yesterday and wouldn''''t come out, then the whole system wouldn''''t work I got the dreaded "ERROR" message on the screen...went to the dealer ysterday and they told me they need to order me a new head unit to swap it out because there''''s definitely something wrong with it. They said they tried getting the disc out, which they did, but then the head unit ate the disc again and wouldn''''t come out again so they went ahead and ordered me a new radio...

I hate this though...I needed a new radio in my previous car, too, a 1999 Accord EX V6 Coupe which they replaced under warranty for me...but this is aggrevating...now I feel like I don''''t have a new car anymore; the vehicle has only 2,000 something miles on her...

Any other new-generation Camry owners experience bad luck with their JBL changers?

I have an 07 XLE with the JBL system. I have had strange things periodically appear on the display screen, like a series of rectrangular blocks instead of the normal display, but shutting off the car and restarting it has always brought the screen back to normal. The dealer attributes this to bluetooth interference. Not sure I buy that, but at least they have it down on record if it continues.

I wouldn't worry about the dealer replacing the audio system. It should only take a few mintes and it's pretty hard to do any damage to the car during the process. If they scratch something it will just be their responsibility to replace it. If you are really concerned, I would take digital pictures of the area they will be working on with the date showing on the pictures. That way, if there is any damage, you have proof it was not there before they worked on it.

Thanks for the input; I appreciate it!

Wow..that sucks about the display on your head unit -- I've never had that happen yet on my 08 SE, but I wouldn't let that go if it were me -- it would just bother me so much because I'm super-anal about my car...

Thank you for making me feel a little better about this; yeah, my rep told me that it should only take a few minutes to do when I come back so we can wait for it; it's just that...the car is so NEW, you know? It's breaking my heart that something has to be replaced already...every time I look at the dash from that day on I am going to think "this is probably a refurbished unit and it's NOT the one that came from the factory..."

It's just dissapointing, especially since I needed a head unit replaced in my previous car, a '99 Accord V6 Coupe...
