What is a good intake for a 4 cyl 3rd gen Camry. I'm not really familiar with what is available and was wondering who sells them, how much they cost, power gains, etc...

I have a 94 I4 camry and I just put a Reactive intake on my car about a month ago... Sounds so good.. power, not much if anything, maybe a bit, but it is a noticable gain when it is really cold out. Like this morning for example, it was -1 here and when I gave it to her on the HWY it was pritty good.

Cost.. way to much $160CAN

i bought a weapon R intake for my 5sfe. i couldn't deal with the short intake so i made it into a custom cold air intake. if i knew then what i know now i would even have wasted the money for a weapon R, i would have just made my own from scratch. it's up to you. there are intakes on ebay for the camry and they are pretty cheap.

im using the hks i got from derek ... its awesome.. minor power gains over the akimoto i used to have... esp when i hit 3k rpm to red line... custom pipe though and i removed the temp probe and just placed it where it can be coldest to simulate the cold air it seems to work with the computer... but only a bit... still need actual cold air for denser air...

Yes they do, hence the name "drop-in" filters.

TOM'S CAMRY, slushangar wants an intake, not just a drop-in.

The best intake to get is a short ram intake by Ractive... IT has to be put on at a cutsom shop or garge because a regualr intake will not fir on a V4 Camry. Give pretty good powe once you hit 3000 rpms. Bst thing to do after the intake is in, is to get new sprak plugs, ususally platnium 4's and new ignition wires, get a breather and a spiral max piece...
