wha-? doing donuts and drifting on the LA freeway? Yo man, where can I get a copy of that? I've never seen that one.
Yah, it would be pretty hard to come by Gen2 commercials. Typically, they're the "The Camry. An all-round well-balanced family car for the average family...at a low price." type BS. Hey, that was the pitch at that time for almost every sedan.

Yeah, they had some really funky music going on in it too. I think it was the first one to feature the "CAMRY = MY CAR" campaign... This was back in like May.

Isn't that still what they're trying to do??? Just now they offer frills, and thrills with powerful motors, and nice seats. Oh yeah! We all know what it takes to please me
A comfy seat, and a decent sized motor.
We also can't forget that back then they were also starting the "Fuel economy" routine.

The Camry spinning and whatnot commerical was hot... It was a red SE being tossed around quite recklessly and in a manner that would leave my car with broken suspension

But I AM a "professional driver"...and I didn't do it "at home"...more like on an empty side street "near home"
anyways, yah, the new Camry's ARE huge compared to previous years....but I bet you anything that I can still front-in that thing into a parking spot IN ONE TRY.....better than some of those other drivers in their Civics who couldn't park the damn thing straight and in between the lines! I don't care if you have to pull an "Austin Powers"....just park it straight!
Hey, does anyone know where I can get that commercial? I really wanna see!
That is a pretty cool commercial, but nothing can beat the Red SE commercial. The first time I saw it was actually before a movie in NYC. Gen5 driftin' on the big screen! It was sweet. I'm also feeling that new Tacoma 4x4 commercial. I don't need to explain; if you've seen it, you know.

There's a Honda accord commercial that follows the same lines of "everyone trying to be like it" but with people following some dood instead of a bunch of cars following a Camry. I wonder which one came first?

We all know the Toyota commercial did, because the Honda commercial is just another example of everyone trying to be like Toyota
Silly ricers, originality is for Toyota's.
