Sylvania Silverstars vs. XtraVisions

I have 9006 silverstars for my low beams, but i'm looking to get new bulbs for my highs...

I've heard somewhere that the XVs are actually better than the Silverstars in some respects (i.e. overall brightness). Is this true? If so, I'd be more inclined towards the XVs since they're 1) cheaper and 2) possibly brighter

So what shall i go for for? Another pair of silverstars or XVs?

When my SilverStars blew out a few months ago, I replaced them w/Xtravisions and have been very pleased with their lighting performance. The driver's side bulb blew after five months, so I replaced that with an extra SilverStar I had laying around. Now the funny thing is how close they are in terms of light output - and color! I'll try to take a pic to show you, but from the driver's seat, it's very tough to discern a difference between the two bulbs. I'd recommend the XtraVision, it gives very similar performance for half the cost. I also picked up a couple of sets of bulbs from SUVlights.com to use when these bulbs go out. I'll post my results w/those, as well...

What about the cool blues? How do they compare to the XVs?

why don't u guys look into the Osram silverstars. Unlike the sylvannias they use the 50% more light tech instead of 30% tech and it doesn't have the light robbing coating so they are really bright or you can go for the Philips Hi-Vis +50%
