Hey guys. Just wanted to know if there was anyway of visually inspecting an engine (already in the car) to find out if its a 3S-FE or 5S-FE. I had the original engine replaced a few weeks ago and am paranoid that I got stiffed w/ a 3S. The mechanic did use the my original intake and exhaust manifolds (but replaced the gaskets) which lends me to believe that it is a 5S, but I don't know if those components are interchangable w/ the 3S.
Also, I was told the "new" engine installed only had about 40-45K on it...is there any plausable way to verify this w/o having to go back to the shop and go through crap?
Tx y'all!!!!

The intake and exhaust manifold are swappable between both engines. They have the same bolt pattern and use the same gaskets.
If you can take some pics of the engine, I can tell you if its a 3S-FE or 5S-FE.
