$1000 for new brakes and tires a good deal for '96 LS400?

NTB gave me a deal for 4 new Michlein Primacy MXV4 and new brake pads, rotors resurfaced, and with a brake system flush for a $1000 (even) for a 1996 Lexus LS400. Is it a good deal?

If they are offering you a deal, it still means they are making money off you.

I bought 4 yoko 214/45r17 tires for about 450. I changed my own brake fluid which costed like 4 bucks for the fluid n 30 for a pump (so i could do it myself). Brake pads from toyota are what 60 each? So thats like 120 for all 4. So were at like 600ish Somehow I dont think resurfacing your rotors and installing the wheels onto the rim will cost you 400 dollars.

The tires he is talking about are very expensive. I just had to replace 1 215/60R16 Michelin MXV4 S8 V rated tire on my wife's 2007 Camry XLE on Friday. (Darn those screws on the pavement.) Out the door the tire was $201. If we figure his tires are going to run at least that amount for the size for his LS400, that leaves just under $200 for the brake work. That is not a bad price when they are including the brake fluid flush. Remember, many people choose not to do their own work. This forum can help those people out too, by answwering their questions. IMHO.

Brake pads cost like 50 bucks for my moms 99 Expedition, and i put them on myself. Im assuming rotors are a bit more, but if you can DIY then you would be saving alot of money.

Your basically paying for the labor.
