Weird clicking noise from the pedal

Alright, there seems to be a bit of a problem w/ my car....

Everytime I release the gas pedal for whatever reason, and the transmission shifts gears, i hear an odd clicking noise that seems to be coming from beneath the pedal. I don't know what it is and I think my description of it is as accurate as I can do w/o actually letting somebody drive it to hear/feel it.

Anybody, know w'sup and whether or not it's a fixable problem?

When was the last time you checked/changed the tranny fluid and filter? You might want to try that, or the tranny may need flushed, contaminants could make the clicking noise throughout the shift range...check those out, let me know...and I'll see is there is anything more I can do to help you.

Is is just a faint clicking? My Corolla made a faint clicking when I depressed or let off the gas and brakes. It turned out to be the springs (that are underneath) on the gas and brake pedal.

I mean just some little springs that were attached to the bottom of the gas and brake pedal. They always made a cracking sound. All the dealer would do is lubricate them and the noise would go away for awhule. Eventually, the springs got broken in and the sound stopped altogether. I'm not sure how loud your problem is or if this could be your situation.
