Few Questions

I just bought a 99 Solara and have a few questions.

First off what is up with the seat belt warning lights flashing like crazy.. lol They will just keep flashing until i put my seat belts on.. Is there a way to over ride this annoying feature...

Second i just want pointed in the right direction to purchase the bright blue head light bulbs and fog lights. Or just any site that I has a wide selection of exterior and interior parts for a solara.

Thanks

First off, welcome to TN.

As for your light bulbs... Check the owner's manual for your car and there should be a page on which it lists the bulb sizes/types for your car. Keep that handy.

www.modacar.com has some stuff
www.autodynamic.com has a good selection of project light assembles/bulbs/indiglo gauges/etc.

Personally, I can't recommend anything to you since I've only had my new low beam bulbs for 1...2..3... days now and I've heard stuff about Silverstars exploding after under a year of usage... Dunno...

Check those sites and see if you like anything. I hope i was of some help.

Does anyone have any idea how to stop the red driver and passenger seat belts lights to stop flashing. Without putting your seat belt on of course.. lol

Seat belts can be over-rated, but it really is a good habit to get into, I mean at least to be safe, plus, in most places, it's the law. But as for the seat belt light, there are two ways you could go about fixing this...so here they are.

The easy & lazy way :

Take the instrument cluster out, and pull the bulb for that little light.

The more difficult way :

Remove the driver's side seat and pull it completely from the car, look from the seat belt buckle on the side of the seat and trace the wiring back from it to underneath the seat, find the connector from that wire, and disconnect it, and put the seat back into the car.

So now you have two options, but the good choice would be to wear your seat belt, at least when you drive fast, be a little cautious.
