Is it possible to replace the leather-wrapped automatic shift knob on my 2001 Camry?

what is levoc's website?

Where can you order them?

I have a gen 4, and it I tried taking it off, but it looks VERY tedious, actually it won't even come off.

haha... yea... my g/f thought i was crazy to be buying the Levoc shift knob. searched far and wide for it though. eventually found the carbon-fibre-look one when i was in Vancouver (Richmond). got it on sale for about $125 CAD. regular was about $175 CAD.

you have to cut the shaft to make it sit nice and low. if not, then it sticks up pretty high. here's a pic of about 2.5 inches cut off.

Hi guys,

Previously I asked if I can change my leather wrapped shift knob on my 2001 camry, I received yes as the answer. Now, can someone please tell me HOW will I be able to change it? I can't find any place where I can disassemble the stock shift knob, by the way, what will happen to the O/D button?

thanks

There are I think 2 screws on the stock shift knob. The screws are covered so you would need to remove the covers. The covers are circular. After you unscrew the 2 screws, the shift knob should pop up but the OD wires are still hooked up.
