Question Clutch Pedal cath point

I was just wondering if it was possible to lower the catch point on my clutch because it catches very high, and its killing me on the hills. Thanks in Advance.

I know you can adjust pedal height, but usually the "catch point" as you call it is determined by the clutch itself. My stock clutch was exactly as you describe, but my Centerforce took a little time to get used to. I kept stalling because the pressure point is just after you start letting the clutch out.

Yea I know on my gen2 there's a way to adjust the clutch catch point, I'm not 100% sure how it is done, but since I tend to be a little fast coming off it I like a slightly higher catch point. However your clutch might be old and slipping and not biting as fast as it used to. I found that to be the case when I had the clutch redone last summer.

Its adjusted on the pedal itself - at least on my Gen3.

There are two adjustments, clutch pedal height, and clutch pedal freeplay. The freeplay is adjusted by untightening the nut thats on the rod of the master cylinder when it attaches to the pedal. Then once the nuts is loose, you rotate the actual master cylinder rod either cloockwise (to make it engage lower) or counter-clockwise (to make it engage higher) - make sure you dont run out of thread though. The second adjustment is the clutch pedal height. There is a nut on the upper part of the clutch pedal assembly that adjusts this. Ive never had to so thats all i know.

hope that helps.

it may just need a new clutch, as it goes you need to let the clutch up more and more. Changing the catch point may hurt it but im not 100% sure
