2007 Camry SE lug nuts

Hi,

Does anyone know the shank length and overall length of the
lug nuts that come on the 17" wheels? I know the thread sizes.
I believe they are the mag type lugs. Are they painted or chrome?
Thanks

Butch

Using the search function in the Gen 5 & 6 Camry forum showed this thread that covers all the information you are looking for and some pictures:

Todd, That just gave me some doubt. I'll have to look at the wheels real good. It almost looks like the lugs are a combination shank and cone seat. I've seen one or the other but never a combination of both. I don't see how it could be a combo unless the shank and cone are precise. They would have to snug up at exactly the same time. Normally the cone holds the wheel or the washer on the shank holds the wheel. Thanks

I just looked at the wheels. They are the 17" alloys off the 2007 SE. There isn't any shoulder/cone seat. They are a straight shank. Short one at that. Now I gotta go back out and measure the thickness because I don't know if the shanks on the McGards are short enough.

The arguement that Kisammm was getting into was confusing but he said that any 12mm x 1.5 will fit all aftermarket wheels. That is not true at all. They may screw on but they won't tighten up. Some of the Toyota lugs on Ebay had a shoulder and a flat washer. But I think the shoulder is just part of the shank and doesn't act as a seat like the true cone lugs.

But these are not my wheels and lugs we are talking about. They are my son Kevins. I just got involved helping him with new tires, wheels and lugs to replace the stock ones on his LE.
