i am bidding on this item on ebay but need to be sure that it will work.
cheers
the turbo is rated for a 2.5liter inline 6 and on top of that it has two of them... If you put that on your 3vz-fe which is a 3.0 Liter V6 ... Ca you imagine the money you have to spend on tires and a new tranny all the time... LOL, what I mean by that is its a improperly sized turbo for your 3vz-fe and it would be nothing but a torque monster...
question: later on down the track i'll be getting myself a turbo from a series 2 s14, how would that turbo affect my car, ie, getting boost, would be drivable, would it be safe to be driving it at 8psi, that sorta thing???

I am also going turbo, so with my case a 2.4 l i4, should I get a t3? or what turbo would be good for my car and give pretty high outcomes? any sites to read on what the specs for the turbos are for? thanks
2.4Liter if you want a very responsive turbo I would get the T28/T25 or a T3/T28 this are very responsive turbos. I would suggest looking Garrett's site has alot of nice info on turbos and their sizes...

that turbo is also a T28, though with different exhaust housing compared to the GTR items. not sure if it's ball bearing, there's rumours flying around that it is and isn't. search through www.performanceforums.com they will have the info.
i think my friend's turbo from his s14 is not a ball bearing one. in either case is ok, coz i'm only going to run low boost, no more than 8psi in my 1mz. i don't wanna go any higher in case i blow something up.
wraith, when you're ran 13psi, was that with stock internals???

wait wait ... Just to clarify, I'm saying get the T28/T25 hybrid turbo. Its a T28 compressor with a Big T25 turbine housing... if not just get a striaght T28 I suggest getting a 40+ plus a/r housing...

Dude, if you planning on going anything smaller than a T3 I seriously suggest getting something with a big a/r housing on the turbine side. As for your second question , there are none... I have yet to see a turbo'ed 3vz-fe...
Originally posted by TRDiCamry can anyone tell me if there may be a reason as to why people dont turbo the 3vz-fe?? are there any known problems with the engine??
the 3VZ-FE is a very stout motor there shouldnt be any problem with the motor itself ... You should just try to maintain the proper a/f ratio
