I can say that one thing really really idiodic about designers of the camry is definitely missing more lights in the interior. The camry has a lot of room inside, but the only light available is the dome light (which is not very bright) where you have to reach all the way back to switch it on. how come they never made a MAP light or anything? It seems like almost all cars (accords, etc) have them. Has anyone tried upgrading with more lights inside?

What Gen is your Camry? I think all Gen 5's have them with or without moonroofs (V6s LE and SE has them, XLE for sure).

The Gen 3's might need to include the moonroof option, as the the lights are next to the roof controls.
3rd and 4th gen's have OEM maplights integrated with the sunroof controls as stated... no moonroof= no maplights. the gen 5's have maplights on all models.
