sqeeking sound coming from exhaust ?????

hi everyone

i have a 98 gen 4 camry.
this only happens lately.
when my car is turned on, there's this sqeeking sound coming from the bottom of the car, sounds like air leaking out from the exhaust, but i am not 100% sure.

let's say, if there is a leak, what should i do ?????
or this is not the problem???

thanks in advance. =)

is there a lot of vibration? it may not be a leak if there is...it may as well be metal on metal contact and not necessarily from ur exhaust or the mounts.

Drive ur car up on a ramp, keep it running and poke around to find the source of the noise.

there is not alot of vibration.
when i press on the gas, the sqeeking sound remains the same in terms of sound level, i dunno where the sound came from, like specific area, but i know for sure is from the bottom of the car more to the driver side. sound is louder when i stand on the driver's side.

ditto, just listen and poke, or bring it to speedy, they'll have a look at it for free

here's a few tricks, if its exhaust, and you can't find the leak (pretty rare) you can tap the pipe with a screwdriver working your way along the pipe and around

when the sound deadens its rusted through

you can also poke at stuff, if its got give in it, its garbage
