When I start my car in the mornings for the first time clouds of dark smoke grayish/black come out...Only lasts about 10 seconds at the most...I am thinking about trying smoke out when I change my oil....Will this work or do you have any other ideas?

I had this problem with the old galant I had before I got my camry. It had a little problem with burning oil. I found for at least a quick fix that you can grab some CD2 [i think thats what it was called]. Its an oil additive that helps with oil burn'age.

i think that it just an old car and also do u have like a down pipe or something or a full cat back system. that can also be the problem. but for a fact i dont think is the oil.

I had the exact same problem with my Lexus ES300, It is your valve stem seals, when you let it sit overnight the oil leaks past the seals and down your valve guide and when you first start the car the oil gets sucked down into the combustion chamber and it gets burnt, you want to get it fixed asap, because it will cause major carbon buildup on your intake and exhaust valves and foul your plugs out as well from that oil being burnt over time. It will only get worse with time and miles, on your car it is very inexpensive to the valve job. It will cost you around $500-600.00 for a valve stem seal job and I would get a fuel injector cleaning done and get your plugs replaced while you are at it to clean up the carbon that was left behind. I paid $1300 for my valve stem seal job, because mine is the V6 more valves means more seals. I would definetly get it done here pretty soon as you will notice better gas mileage and no more oil burning.

Good Luck

You didn't by any chance switch to full synthetic motor oil just recently, did you?
