Unplug your subs and measure again.

It's best to play a tone cd and you use an spl meter. Cranking to max generally causes distortion and isn't usually a good idea. You can test it with the meter as you raise the volume. Usually the meter is placed up by the front windshield over the dash. Competitions work differently, in some you're allowed to crack a window in others you can't, etc..
