I don't bother with the OEM. If it helps, the Mobil-1 M1-103, the K&N HP-1003, or NAPA 1396 will all do just fine. The NAPA is probably the most cost effective choice, though the others, and other choices too, will do just fine.

Have you personally used the Mobil M1-103 filter? Autozone is having a special
a case of Moblil-1 oil and Mobil Filter for 29.99
I drive a lot and have used exclusively Mobil oil and filters for years but I have never had a Toyota. They said they didn't list a Mobil Filter for it at autozone. I went back in today and a different dude cross checked them to bosch and then Mobil and came up with the m1-103. I am going to get ten sets of oil and filters but just want to be sure first. I have heard of filters spinning on but then blowing back off going down the road if they are not right.
I just had the first oil change yesterday, Toyota Synthetic 0w20 and Toyota filter. What has your experience been with either? Is this oil as good/better than Mobil? Does it really help with the gas millage? Anyone?
I don't have the oil filter part number memorized, but it looks like you've got your answer. As far as how to change the oil, doesn't it just have a regular filter? There's nothing special about the Camry. The V6 and newer 2.5L I4 use the element filters which is a bit different the first time you do it.
I use OEM filters because they're cheap and I can get them when I grab my crush gaskets. My local dealer is running 15% off oil (and maybe air) filters this month so I'm going to stock up.

Toyota doesn't make oil. Last year I was purchasing Toyota Type T-IV ATF for my gen 5.5 so I figured I'd just get Dexron III for the gen 3.5 at the same time - knowing I'd pay a slight premium, but for the sake of convenience I didn't care. Anyway, the Dexron III was Sam's Club branded. Unless it's a proprietary fluid like ATF, it's just rebranded.
I used to exclusively use Mobil1 5W-30 synthetic (sometimes EP) oil but switched to Valvoline because it was a good amount cheaper. My car felt smoother at the end of my 5 month OCI as compared to Mobil1. Most recently I switched to Castrol (10W-30 though) and it's gotten rid of most of my car's slight shudder when the A/C is on. It wasn't bad at all before but now it's almost non-existent.
I'm going to stick with Castrol from here on out (and I actually only bought a few cases because it was cheap) but what I'm trying to say is.. Just try out various types of oil and filters and see what you and your car likes best

So the half quart of oil in my grage that says Toyota on it is rebranded? How would I find out what brand it really is? I have had very good luck with Mobil I would like to stick with it.
^ I Googled a bit and most seem to think it's Mobil1, but you can't really be sure. I read that WalMart's SuperTech line of synthetic oil depends on who is cheapest when they buy in bulk. Makes sense..
My engine is the quietest and smoothest on Castrol 10W-30 synthetic. Day after day I'll be driving in a parking structure or down a small street w/o a sidewalk, and I'll be behind someone walking for a good 15 seconds before they even notice there's a car behind them. For a four-cylinder. the 2.4L is VERY quiet and smooth. Of course, that depends on how you maintain it. A 2005 2.4L Camry was driving by as I was walking to my car and it sounded really loud - maybe because the engine was cold, but probably because they don't change the oil enough.

No , it is not. The 90915-YZZF1 is whats required for the 2AZFE. It is a longer filter. The F2 will thread on no problem, but holds less oil and has a smaller filter element. I know the original thread is old, but its still incorrect to anyone that read it.

I cannot beleve I didn't catch that sooner. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't all Toyota filter have the same threading becides the canister filters.
Parts guy almost gave me YZZF2s today - I was just about to correct him when he looked it up on the computer and got me the YZZF1. I had a 15% off coupon for oil filters so I grabbed three for my car and three for the gen 3.5.
I'm due for an oil change the first week of September but I'll probably change it the last week of August before school starts again so I don't have to worry about it.

I'm bringing back an old thread.. But I recently went with my gf to buy oil filters during a local dealer's 30% off sale. Five or six per car, and we bought for four Toyotas = lots of filters. I didn't realize it but the parts guy somehow pulled up the YZZF2 for both my 2.4L Camry and the 1.8L 1ZZ Corolla we also bought filters for.
I need to go back and exchange them - but I was just wondering - why does this happen from time to time? I ask because this isn't the first time the parts dept (at a different dealer too) tried to give me the YZZF2. I don't understand why there would be confusion as to what oil filter the 2.4L 2AZ takes.
