i have one in my mr2 from a camry i need to know how to get it timeed correctly to get it running any of you guys know how to. Thank you!

If you mean with just a timing light. then:

Start the engine, and let it warm up. Jumper TE1 and E1 at the TCCS check connector. Your idle should increase to 1000-1300. Loosen the distributor, and rotate it as needed until you reach 10 degrees BTDC. Tighten the distributor and remove the jumper.


What year Camry did the engine come from? The 87 and some 88 models have different sensors and injectors, so you need matching wiring/accessories/ecu, etc
