I decided to mount my S-AFC in the lower DIN. I used some left over charcoal carpet for now so it looks kinda ugly. Here is a pic of the final product with darker carpet. Next step is to make it look nicer and build a removable face plate to cover the S-AFC as to deter theft.

I was thinking about a retractable bracket to hold the unit on the DIN slot. I have a door on my 2nd DIN and it will be very easy for me to make some sort of bracket to hold it steady when the door is open.

Cleanest install I've seen! Luv the tutorial too, but no Rookie in this episode :grin:

As for the concealing door idea, could you possibly install the meter using a DIN box that has a door already on it (avail off Gen3s @ TP4U.com, about $40CDN from a dealer) and just install it deeper in the box and just flip the door open and closed.
