Jacking Car

Ok I feel stupid for asking this but where am I supposed to place the floor jack when I want to raise my Gen 3 camry? I know for the jack that comes with the car its supposed to be placed under the grooves at the rocker panel but when i put the floor jack at that spot the piece starts to dent in. Wheres the proper place to jack the car when using a floor jack and place a jack stand. Thanks

directly on the frame. you're gonna have to get under the car and look for it before you put the floor jack down.

What I did was use the tire jack to lift the car up high enough to get the regular jack stands directly under the frame crossbar at the near the front drive axles. (I think I labeled that right)

yeah I now have a bend because the dicks who work on may car put the jack right there. Another guy put it past the frame and actually lifted the car up! And when the car was up the passenger floor gave way and the car fell and the jack went throught the bottom of the fucking car! I had to remove the carpeting and pound the floor back down and then sealed it up and wrapped up the whole with Duct tape. Put the carpet back and now you cant tell anything happened.

Did you sue?

It was funny when we worked on older cars in HS because sometimes the rusted frames would bend when we tried to jack up the cars...

IF you can get your jack to jjack high enough, toss it under the main crossmember part of the frame that's up front.

Also, don't forget the jackstands. Don't wanna lose anyone here.
