boosted bulb

i'm fairly sure no one has posted a topic about my question...
and if someone did do it... please don't flame me....

anyways, currently i'm using MTEC 4X bulb (fairly high wattage) for my low beam (9006) with upgraded harness (suvlights.com) in my 94 Camry. As you all know it was a smart move to upgrade the harness, because the bulb is asking for extra juice.

My question is that, if i do a 9005 conversion using lets say.... silverstar bulbs (65W)... and i use the upgrade harness with it... will it blow the bulbs?
because i'm feeding in extra juice in the bulb, but the bulb is NOT demanding for extra current.

hope what i'm explaining is clear.

thanky??

You can't just FEED extra juice into the bulb unless something in the circuit behind the bulb is trying to draw current. Since there hsouldn't be anything like that in the circuit, you'll only be drawing the standard 65W needed by your bulb and thus won't blow it.

oh icic... i'm scare of the electricals in a car... just don't understand them
and thank you

also, i heard that with the textured lense for the gen3 camry, the 9005 conversion gives off scattered beam pattern, am i correct on this? and exactly what kind of beam pattern am i looking at?

Textured lenses never give off a very defined cutoff, and with a slightly different type of bulb, the beam pattern can be messed up, just try looking at HIDs inside the 9006 slot of a GEN3. U want to preferable have a well definied cutoff line with not too much light above that. That's the kind of beam pattern your looking for.

the 9005 bulb in the 9006 socket doesn't give off any different pattern than the 9006 bulb in the 9006 socket... why would it? The bulb is only a bit brighter and the lens dictates its pattern.
...and it works perfect in the OEM harness so it will work perfect in your upgraded harness.

...or you could just spend +/-$400usd on 9006 HIDs

i thought the 9005 bulb would fry the 9006 harness? Are you using 9005 bulbs?

and after that i need to reaim right?? cuz right now my hotspot is shining about half an inch above the rear bumper of the car infront of me...thats normal right...
