Just looking at options for my auto to manual conversion and was told that there is a TRD quickshifter for the Corolla that fits the Gen 3 Camry. Does anyone know which Corolla quickshifter it is?
no... I said the corolla short shifter is from TWM and the TRD short shifter is from the gen4 Camry/gen1 Solara but you will also need the shifter base from one of those two cars as well to fit the TRD shifter.

Damn...you're right! I have been looking at so many different options lately (for oil cans, short shifters and clutches) I got the details mixed up.
Thanks for the clarification!!!
So what year Corolla does the TWM shifter fit the gen 3 Camry?
Deep, I could'a sworn I read a post about this a couple a months ago and it was the TWM S-S? But you never know, I have been making a lot of mistakes lately.
i made a short shifter for my gen 3 for about 12 bucks in parts from Home Depot, and it's solid as the TRD shifter, but it doesn't have a bend, otherwise, it kicks. really easy to do too....once i figured out what i was gonna do....any q's just ask.
Hey Steve, I have the TRD quickshifter for the Gen 4 Camry. All I had to do to make it fit was use some shims to raise the base a little so the shifter clears the body. It is not a whole lot shorter in size than stock, but the throw is definatey shorter. Thus the name quickshifter. Just thought you might like to know.
gaak please do share the details of that shifter! id rather make a decent shortthrow for 12 bucks then spend 150 or so on the TWM unit! (there's something to be said for anything DIY i guess...)
Steve

looking at my stock shifter the pivot ball appears to be simply interenced fit onto the shaft... so if you have a tourch jsut heat the ball and you could probably slide it up an inch. then jsut cut off the top abit, and shim the assembly with washers and you should have yourself a DIY short shifter
i woulda done this but i already chopped mine last year and it would be way too short
anyone have an stock 3vzfe shifter they wanna donate???
