New trans Ordered.....just dropped 3,000$$$

Well finally after all my talk the 99 solara transmission is on its way, and will be here on fri. Only 5k on it so Im really happy. I also have ordered all my parts from www.ctmotorsport.com(sean) aka soundlzrd, which inclued Kaaz 1.5 LSD, Fidenza light flywheel, SPEC stage 3 clutch, Brembo Drilled Rotors X 4, KVR brake pads X4, and new braided stainless brake lines.

I also ordered my new TWM shortshifter from RAtko at www.elementautoworks.com .

I cant wait for all these parts to come in and I can take her to the track after I tackle this whole install on with a cuple of my closest friends. Wish me luck and Ill post pics reall soon!

lol its only because of my new job....2 X my last salery. Im loving it but cant wait to install all of this. Just hope the tranny swap and LSD install goes good, thoughs are my only worries! Ill make sure to post track times and dyno results.....since i never have had one i figure its time!

I dig the dark primer look You need a little red jolly roger on it some where so everyone knows you're out for blood.

...a friend of mine has a bad ass 72 chrome bumper Stingray with Hooker Sidepipes and a 454 thats all done up in dark grey primer and a semigloss clear coat. Its actually a pretty traditional hot rodder paint job when clear coated.

Well the 99 solara tranny is alll in parts on my floor, so now Im just waiting on the LSD to come in and my extra parts needed from toyota. The tranny looks to be in absolute perfect condition well with 5,000 miles it should be but you can never be to carefull.

Ill make sure to take some pics and if anyone needs info on the swap just email me and ill be happy to help. things are going great cant wait to get it all in and past the 500 mile break in but i drive that in a day so no prob!!!!!

Well the primer is going to change here real soon, just wanted to get the transmission out the way. I know I need all of this to run proper with the turbo so I decided to make the move and get it done.

Ill tell you what I cant wait to see the results either.....my times should be much better and more consistant with all that less wheel hop and more tourqe!!! With all the money I will win racing the turbo will shortly follow(if it evers get done). I lost $300 to a Z28 and it only beat me by .3 so Im quessing the next race, I will make my money back plus some. And man all i can do at night is stare at this beautifull tranny....its just in perfect shape!

UPDATE EVERYTHING IS IN!!!!! Well not in in but the tranny is back together with the LSD perfect fit and everything is in as in delivered so hopefully next weekend I will install all the new goodies ie the tranny, clutch and fflywheel and go to the track and see what I run!


The brakes....lines and shifter are in the car and Im lovin them!

Oh I will...I cant wait because after all this and I go to the track Im getting my AFC tuned at the dyno so I defidently will be keeping my crown for a bit.... ....plus im back in the shop again for some more cutting action so the weight will drop once agaiN!


BTW royal purple oil is the shit just replaced valve cover gaskets and sparks and wires ect and cleaned out my intake manifold, and man does it run nice!
