It can be done- I've done it. But it would have helped to have small hands and long fingers. Be careful not to bend any of the rods. What a PITA!

There Should be a hole you can stick your hand inside. You have to get a wratchet wrench with probably a 10mm size head for the bolt. You can buy these wrentches in packages for about $10 that come with all different size heads. Make sure they have the European milimeter size because a lot of these types of packages only have American sizes. The wrench that comes with is one that is set at 90 degrees so you can stick your hand in there, feel around and then put the head over the bolt and turn. That's really not that hard.

There should probably be two bolts to remove. One is right inside the hole so that should be easily accessed. The other is on the other side of the door lock so you have to reach your hand inside and feel around and then put the 90 degree 10mm wratchet head over the bolt and remove it. It is not as hard as you might think.

Then you have to remove the rod from the handle. This can be easily done by removing the tiny clip that is holding the rod. Put your finger on the outside of the clip's open side that is directly holding the rod and press hard to separate it from the rod. Once that clip is removed, you can then pull out the rod from the hole.

The lock itself also has a different type of wrap around clip that needs to be removed.
