check around on that...they have an article on the brightest halogen bulbs..
To the best of my knowledge, PIAA Xtreme (some random shit name) burn a lot hotter (7500K) but are considerably more pensive. Silverstars on the other hand burn at 4000K, but are a nice white light and cost about half as much.

Are silverstars even white at all??? I seen two people with siverstars and their headlights look stock color. Is it just me or are silverstars not not too white to begin with?
And anybody ou there with a smooth and mellow sounding high performance exhaust?
Silverstars are white. They may appear a stock color on the outside due to the possibility of the headlight cover developing a weird yellow hue over the course of time, but sit behind of the wheel with them turned on and you'll see that they are indeed a white light.
Or, you can only put one Silverstar bulb in and leave the other stock and turn on your lights. Compare.
Nobody ever said PIAA's suck. They're just really really $$$$. Silverstars 'll run you about 50 bucks a pair whereas PIAA bulbs almost always run 90+ per pair (of the top of the line model). The brightness of the PIAAs are advertised to be close to HID, but honestly the naked eye cannot tell in this case.

Hey TakeBao, light colour temperature (K) doesn't mean the bulb operates hotter... The wattage of the bulb dictates how much heat is creates... So let's say if the PIAA (7500k) were 55W and the Silverstars (4000k) were 75w, the Silverstars will burn hotter regardless of how much "K". All the halogen bulbs get their colour from "coatings" on the bulb, so 7500K is simply a darker blue coating to make it look 7500K, and a 4000k is a lighter coating Remember, Halogens are not HID's

back to the original topic....so how does magnaflow exhausts compare to other exhausts like greddy, tanabe, borla, etc. in terms of power gains and sound?

Power gains.. probably none if you are just getting a muffler (rear section). As for sound, Magnaflows sounds very deep compare to most brands, but they are pretty loud compare to the quieter brands (Apex WS, GReddy, RSR, etc...)
I have a Magnaflow 3" in/out pillow-style, and it is quieter than my old 5zigen (also pillow style)... but my car doesn't really relate to most Camry V6's here, so you can't use my feedback as a comparison In general, Magnaflows are deep sounding (pillow style) from what I have heard on most cars.
