Sounds like an aftermarket alarm, but a picture would help!

How do you upload pictures by URL? The red light flashes when doors lock - must be an alarm system but what is the button behind the flashing led for?

There are threads on the Camry forum that shows you how to post pictures.

The button maybe a valet button, can't say, you may have to check with the dealer you purchase the car from to obtain more information or instruction on how to operate the system.

before I saw that switch today I asked the dealer who I bought the car from if it had an alarm system, the moron couldn't tell me if it did or not nor any other installed options! Would be nice to know if I have other installed options too.

That does look like an aftermarket alarm, and the button on the back is for disabling the alarm. Unfortunately, I don't have any idea what brand it is. You might look under the hood or under the dash to see if you can find any parts that would tell you what brand it is, so you can get some information or just remove the whole thing.
