Took it for a cruise now that my sound system is bumping and my interior has been painstakingly detailed, over 8 hours went into it! Looking this good I had to put down the pedal.

0-100.....13.4sec Pretty fast huh?
I should probley mention thats in km/h
but seriously, is 13.4 sec 0-62mph average for a camry? What are you guys running?
Something must be wrong with your car or maybe you just drive like a wuss most the time so that the ECU shifts at lower RPMs because I do 0-60 in about 10-11 seconds.
BTW what do you have for a system?

I shift right at redline, also get the same result not shifting.
Hmm, wonder if it's the cars old age of 204000 miles? What should I get checked, I must be lossing power somewhere. Loss of cylinder pressure maybe?
As for my sound system I have an Alpine deck, can't remember the model number, but it puts out 50X4 and plays mp3's, and the speakers are infinity reference series, bumps very nicely, esp. considering theres no subs.
Just thought of something. A few years ago the transmission went out and was replaced. Is it possible it was replace with a tranny other then the camrys that had a less aggressive gearing, or is there only one that will fit on there. Thoughts anyone?
Why the hell is my car not running at full speed? Don't feel any hesitation from the motor, it seems to be running perfect.
The last time I timed myself (with the built in stop watch on my wrist watch... relatively inaccurate but what the hell), I did about 12sec. It was actually probably something between 11-12sec... so sad. You know those new hybrid cars are faster?... I mean I know they have a shitload of torque off the line but still. The idea of a hybrid car outrunning my car. I hang my head in shame.
