Question 2009 V6 Should I buy one?

Hello, just found this site today while looking for information on the 2009 Camry V6. I bought a 1993 Camry LE 4 cyl, which has been very reliable for the last 15 and a half years, but now needs new shocks, struts, bushings, etc. I was thinking of going ahead with the repairs and using it for winter driving and getting a new Camry. A dealer has offered me a deal that is hard to pass up, but I have been watching the reliability ratings closely and am a little concerned with a couple of reviews. The first thread I read here is one about Gen 6 ruining Camry's reliability ratings. I would truly appreciate input on the pros and cons of buying a new Camry. I'm sure the 93 will go at least another year, to give more time for accurate reliability ratings, but I would sure hate to miss out on the deal I have been offered, which I have to respond to in the next day or two. Well sorry for the long post, I look forward to visiting your forums on a regular basis.

The dealers will not get much better on Camry. In the Boston Region they are offering $1,500 cash rebate or a low APR [0% for 36 Months is an option].

I have had several quality issues.

1. Master Cylinder
2. Dash Paint
3. Cluster Lighting
4. Roof Drip Peeled

However, I am told these issues are few and far between. I love how the car drives and rides. At 5,000 miles after the above glitches all seems to be well.

Your call. It is no worse than the other cars on the road in terms of quality.
