Shift Knobs

OK, I have the TRD short shifter w/ the included knob. The shifter has 2 TRD stickers on it. One of the stickers has already come off and the finish on the knob is flaking as well. I need a new one, bad.
I've been looking at Razo, MOMO, etc. and I want to know what you guys would recommend as far as brand and ease of installation.
As far as shift knobs go, does a heavier or weighted one give a better feel than a lighter knob?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think it matters dude. Just stick with name brands (ie MOMO, Razo) and you should be good. Best idea would be to check out a shop where they sell this kind've stuff and get a feel for what you may or may not want. Hope this helps.

www.upracing.com has DC, Longacre, MOMO and Sparco. I would think that a weighted one would feel better... otherwise it'd feel cheap IMO.

I prefer a heavier throw, personally. I know greddy makes a "counterweight" shift knob, but it's still pretty light IMO. I'm fixin' to get a Skunk2 shift knob (440g) and tap it out for my shifter's thread pattern. Just waiting for the local guy to call me when it gets in since they're backordered. Oh, skunk2 is supposedly coming out with a 10x1.25 threaded knob in january, if that helps.

If at all possible, try to find one that's a screw on... sometimes the aftermarket knobs just have a lock screw to hold it on the shifter. I've had bad experiences with the knob flying off during aggressive driving.
