gen 7 Wired Backup Camera Install?

Greetings from a new '09 Camry owner. I have a wired back up camera (license plate mount) and a visor mounted monitor. I need to hook up the wiring and can use some advice.

Where can I run the 16 feet or so of video cable from the trunk to monitor?
And how would I connect to the backup light power line?
And the Monitor I presume can connect to any available light power source?

I'm in the dark here. Retired and doing this myself to save some $$. ANY input from this good group is appreciated!

Read the post on Camry Hybrid $3500.00 repair. Then see if the dealer can install it for you.

Hoser, thanks for the tip. Holy sh*t! What a nightmare. I just sent a note to my Toyota dealer about the install and cost.

Also, couldn't a guy (maybe not me) run a seperate fused 12v line to power both camera and monitor? And manually switch the system on/off. There are unused fuses available. What do you think about that idea??
Happy Thanksgiving...............

Hoser, I just talked with a local Denver fellow who does this type of thing a lot. There is a 12v under-dash power source that won't affect the computer.

And thank you so much! I would never thought about the electrical system if you hadn't replied.
