if cost matters, do nothing, you won`t get away with much for under 3000$...

A V6 Swap is more than 5 grand. I agree with Oldman, unless you really love your camry and want an expensive learning experience.

about 4000 if you do all the work yourself

rippmods supercharger is a bit more than 3000$, yes some people have really fast camrys, but they started with v6`s or swapped to an engine made for turbo, and they spent a buttload of money

going fast with a slow car isn`t cheap, i guess you could get a 50 shot of nitrous, and that`s relatively cheap (5-800ish)

you could try doing the cheap turbo setup: find an mr2 turbo, grab the turbo and manifold, and bolt it in, but its not gonna boost much (maybe 200 hp tops) and you're gonna need other stuff to work with it (I forget what). And you can hit up you local auto dismantlers and find most of the necessary stuff.

I paid $300 for my CT-26 turbo (off a Supra tho) and some jackass stole it. To make matters worse, it wasn't even the right one.

oh yeah, i forgot about the boro turbo setup you can rig up

i think you need the ct26 turbo, exhaust manifold from 3sgte (mr2 and celica) and tap some oil lines to lube and cool it

You can probably put the MR2/Celica turbo kit together for close to $1000 is you shop around for a while. It'll take time to find the right parts at the right price, but it's possible. You'll probably want to build the internals if you plan on serious boost, which is what your camry will need for decent power. It would be good if you have a local welding shop as well as a source for mandrel bent piping for this project.

you'd probably have to call lots of junkyards and recyclers, you could find it though
