USA Wont Start

Ive Got A 94 Camry That Wont Start Sometimes Unless You Move The Shifter Does Anybody Know What Causes That And Were The Sensor Is Located If That Is What It Is, Sometimes It Wont Start At All . Its A Automatic.

If it is the park/neutral switch that you are referring to, it is at the front of the transmission by the radiator, right below the battery.

YEA THANKS FOR THE HELP I WILL CHECK THAT SO IF THAT SWITCH IS BAD YOU CANT PUT THE TRANS IN NEUTRAL AND START IT EITHER

That depends on whether it is the P/N switch, or the connector, or the wiring. Sometimes, it might even be as simple as an adjustment. And other times, it could be the acid from the battery dripping down onto the wiring and the P/N switch causing corrosion. But it sounds like you are heading in the right direction to find out what is going on.

MAYBE ITS THE AJUSTMENT BECAUSE WHEN YOU MOVE THE LINKAGE BACK AND FORTH THE CAR WILL START,THERE SEEMS TA BE SOME PLAY IN THE LINKAGE, CAN THAT BE AJUSTED I HAVENT SEEN IT YET IAM TRYING TA HELP MY BROTHER.ONLY GOING BY WHAT HE'S TELLING ME.THANKS FOR THE INPUT.

OK, I HEAR YOU, NO NEED TO YELL!

Just kidding, if you have too much play in the linkage, it is possible that would be the cause of your starting issue. Check the bushing, retainers and whatever between the shifter and the linkage at the transmission. Also check the mounting bolts for the P/N switch, and see what you can find.

Take some pictures and post them, I better there are others who would be interested to see what it is all about.
