Clutch / Exhaust

Ive got a few minor probs on my gen2

Been great, 8 months perfect running not the slightest problem but now a few niggles have to be solved

a) my muffler baffles sound loose and muffler is worn, tarnished, loose and shaking,

its annoying shaky between roughly 2500 and 2900 rpm's, does anyone know why it would be noisy and shaky in this region only

im replacing it with prob 2.5inch sports exhaust and muffler, AND im putting extractors on. Does this sound wise or should i do something else???

b) i think my clutch is worn. under heavy acceleration at low revs (!!!) as in doing 50 in 4th and planting it (i know i know) the plates seem to slip

It will increase in revs to fast, then go back to the correct revs once i ease off ("correct" as in 3000rpm in 3rd)

Obviously my clutch is wearing, but should i get a new one, what will it cost

also a old friend said you can shorten the hydraulic clutch rod that retracts the clutch he said that will fix it

thankx for your help

give me suggestions and ideas

yeah, your clutch is dead, you should replace it, it won`t be cheap to get it replaced

as for the muffler, yeah, something`s dead and shaking back there, have a look underneath, poke around with a screwdriver or somethign you`ll find the cause
