you dont have to change headers with the ripp kit... you can get it without the headers too. the s/c doesnt have anything to do with the headers like a turbo would. it doesnt use exhaust for air intake pressure. it just takes outside air and pressurizes it and throws it into the intake manifold. no interaction with the exhaust. the ripp headers are installed purely for better exhaust flow. if you already have headers, then you wouldnt need the ripp ones...
i've heard rumors that if you replace your electrical grounding system, it can give you hp, but i don't know how cheap that is. At the worst, it'll free up some power to run bigger subs/amps.
