main o2 sensor/sensor heater 2 flashes, pause, 1 flash

open or short in sub-o2 sensor is 2 flashes, pause, 7 flashes

If you have a '96 then I think you have an OBDII computer in your car. If that is true then you have to use an OBDII code reader to read the code. I heard that Autozone will do this for free?

94 v6's and 96 I4 have obdII, but they can flash codes at you, obdII allows to see the values that set off the code
